SALTHILL

The original dwelling was a traditional 1970s semi-detached house located in Salthill, Galway. The client’s brief was to comprehensively remodel and extend the property to create a sustainable, contemporary family home. A generous new ground-floor family room, featuring large glazed openings, connects seamlessly with the private south-facing rear garden.

The interior design achieves a careful balance between modern design and the warmth of natural materials through a considered use of texture, colour, and light. Exposed beams, natural stone, and hand-crafted timber elements introduce depth and authenticity, while clean-lined furnishings and contemporary fixtures maintain a fresh, modern feel. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated to create a harmonious blend of character and comfort, resulting in a home that feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary.
